Handmade for cuddling, napping, and daydreaming.
All made with my own two hands and my trusty old sewing machine. My studio shelves are overflowing with fabric, and I love patterns and textures and bright colors. Linen, printed cotton, dupioni silk, and old blue jeans are my favorite materials; bold piecing and intricate appliques are my favorite techniques.
I daydream about misty woods and countryside and furry creatures of all shapes and sizes. I make every piece to last, nourished by the thought that my creations will wind up loved and cherished and part of the landscapes of people's everyday lives, gradually fading and softening on sun-splattered couches.
In keeping with my love for people, animals, and community, l make a $10 donation to Heifer with every purchase over $150. It's a wonderful organization that empowers communities through gifts of livestock and training.
I'm currently in the midst of launching my career as a couple and family therapist - a whole different kind of creativity than quilting. My shop will stay open, but shipping times are longer and I'm not able to accept custom orders at this time.

5 out of 5 starsAside for the mysterious location (hubby?), the quilt is gorgeous and I love it. It hangs in my front office where I have a dark gray, light gray, white persimmon color scheme and the quilt ties it all together. Plus year of the monkey and I was born year of the monkey!

There is a tiny tribute to my grandma in each one-- a nod to the original stockings used by my grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles for decades-- quilted into each one. We're so glad to include *beautiful* artwork that is sturdy, functional, and will be treasured by generations to come. Thank you, Sammi!!
